The Great Outdoors

Hiking & Climbing

The Mournes are unique in that they have 12 peaks within a seven mile radius. Slieve Donard is the highest at 2,796ft (850m). The most famous feature is the Mourne Wall which is 22 miles (35km) long. It offers a great challenge for the keen hiker.
You are in the heart of the Mountains of Mournes with walks for all levels. We can provide you with walking cards (on loan) and information on the Mournes. Packed lunches can be provided. You can hire flasks, wet gear and bags for your expedition. We also have a large drying room and a tumble dryer (at an extra cost).
Our bedrooms are equipped with a set of 10 local walks. You are also encouraged to discuss your plans with the staff who will give you helpful advice. Your room will also provide information about these walks.
